At One Garden Brighton, we love seeing people grow—whether that’s in the garden, in business, or through learning something new
Celebrating Women at One Garden Brighton – International Women’s Day 2025
This International Women’s Day, we’re shining a light on some of the amazing women who make our space what it is.
Take Sophie, our apprentice baker now Lead Baker at One Garden Brighton. She started with us to learn and develop her skills, and now she’s the talent behind a lot of our sweet and savoury bakes at One Market. From fresh pastries to hearty treats, everything she creates is made with care (and tastes incredible!).
We also work with brilliant women-led businesses with locally sourced suppliers at One Market. One to highlight is Bee Cosmetics, founded by Elizabeth, who leads the formulation and production of their skincare products. With an Advanced Diploma in Organic Cosmetic Science, she is dedicated to innovation and developing natural, high-quality skincare using beeswax and honey—supporting both self-care and the vital role of pollinators.
Then there’s Bella June Flowers, run by Kelly, whose gorgeous seasonal arrangements fill our space with colour and scent. Kelly’s expertise in floristry is rooted in a passion for nature and sustainability, bringing handpicked, beautifully arranged blooms to One Garden Brighton. Her shop is a space where flowers tell a story, whether for a special occasion or simply to brighten someone’s day.
International Women's Day Events
This International Women’s Day, we’re also celebrating women’s health and wellbeing with two special events led by professional herbalist Julia Behrens.
Julia’s work empowers women through knowledge of natural remedies, and we’re excited to host her workshops at One Garden Brighton.
Menopause Matters
Menopause Matters is a session dedicated to helping women navigate menopause naturally and confidently, offering insights into herbal support and holistic wellbeing.
Hormones, Neurodiversity, and Herbal Support: ADHD and Women’s Health
Hormones, Neurodiversity, and Herbal Support explores how herbs can play a role in supporting women’s health, especially for those with ADHD. These events are about education, empowerment, and connecting with other women in a supportive space.
